Renassiance Apartments at HELP Las Vegas Plaza, HELP's most recent affordable housing initiative in Las Vegas, provides permanent rental workforce housing for working, but still low-income households. This 50-unit complex offers permanent affordable housing to persons earning less than 50% of Area Median Income (AMI), with 26 units dedicated to persons earning less than 30% of AMI. Thirty percent of the housing units will be reserved for households with special needs, especially disabled, formerly homeless veterans. The $9.7 million development cost was funded through Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Tax Exempt Bond Financing. Occupancy of Renaissance Apartments began in February 2009, and rent-up is currently underway.
